With just a week to go before Election Day, the mudslinging has become particularly intense. In fact, we’re afraid that it’s gotten so bad that a new breed of scum have been spawned from it.
On Mon, May 2, Iglesia ni Cristo spokesman Edwil Zabala sent a text message to GMA News Online confirming that the so-called INC letter of endorsement supporting the presidential bid of Davao City Rodrigo Duterte is fake. (See below.)
Zabala texted, “The letter is not from Brother Eduardo Manalo.” He also added, “The moment we identify the person/s responsible for this fraudulent letter containing the forged signature of Brother Eduardo Manalo, we will charge them in court.”
It’s worth noting that Duterte and the rest of the presidential candidates have sought the INC’s support. As of this posting, INC has not yet issued an official endorsement of a presidential candidate.
