Baguio security guard successfully hurdled the bar exams

This kuya guard from Baguio needs to get used to being called attorney now. 

Roy Lawagan, a security guard at the Commission on Audit office in La Trinidad is one of the country’s 1,731 new lawyers. He passed the bar exams on his second take, Inquirer reports. 

Lawagan quietly celebrated his achievement with his family and reported back to work the next day. He will continue serving as a security guard until May 15.

Lawagan studied criminology at the University of Baguio. He finished his law studies at Saint Louis University.

He attended night classes on his first year at law school while working. He said that he plans to go to Manila to gain experience in a law firm.
