Pulse Asia survey: Drilon, Sotto, Pangilinan are Top 3 Senate picks

A Pulse Asia survey commissioned by ABS-CBN and conducted from April 26 to 29 has revealed the top contenders for Senate seats. The survey had 4,000 respondents who are registered voters.

“It had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 1.5 percentage points,” reports Philippine Daily Inquirer.

The following are the Top 12 Senate picks:

1. Senate President Franklin Drilon – 47.8%
2. Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III  – 43.5%
3. former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan – 41.9%
4. former Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri – 38.9%
5. former Senator Panfilo Lacson – 38.5%
6. Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao – 37%
7. former Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros – 36.7%
8. former Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Director General Joel Villanueva – 35.5%
9. Sen. Sergio Osmeña III – 35%
10. former Sen. Richard “Dick” Gordon – 34.1%
11. former Justice Secretary Leila de Lima – 33.8%
12. Sen. Ralph Recto – 32.6%

Just outside the winning circle are Valenzuela City Rep. Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian (29.9%), Sen. Teofisto “TG” Guingona III (25.6%), former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chair Francis Tolentino (24.6%), Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno (24.5%), and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez (22.8%).
