Robin Padilla under fire for photo of shaded ballot on Election Day

Daniel isn’t the only Padilla to get bashed on Election Day. Guess it runs in the family?

Robin Padilla is also under fire on social media today, May 9, for sharing a photo of his ballot on his Instagram account, showing his votes for presidential bet Rodrigo Duterte and party list AMIN.

The caption for his photo reads: “Kapag pinaglapas pa natin ang pagkakataon na ito at hindi natin iniluklok si Rodrigo Duterte bilang presidente, ang inaasahang nating pagbabago idudulot ng Federalismo ay mapupunta sa kawalan at mas lalong magpapatuloy ang senyorito at senyorita sa pang-aalipin sa ating yaman at kalayaan.”

The photo has since been deleted from his Instagram account, but netizens took a screenshot of Robin’s post.

As we’ve pointed out, voters are not allowed to take a photo of their ballots, marked or otherwise, something netizens are also quick to point out.

Robin’s nephew Daniel Padilla and his onscreen partner Kathryn Bernardo were also criticized online earlier today for taking photos of their ballots. However, the photos of Daniel and Kathryn, based on the screenshot of the social media posts that started the issue, were taken by the media.

It’s worthy to note that Daniel is an endorser of administration bet Mar Roxas. Robin, meanwhile, is a vocal supporter of Rodrigo Duterte.
