After Chiz concedes defeat, Heart says it’s ‘time to live life’

Vice presidential candidate Chiz Escudero conceded defeat in the vice presidential race this morning since partial and unofficial tallies of the Commission on Elections show him ranking fourth in the polls.

Instead of feeling bad about his loss, his wife Heart Evangelista is choosing to look on the brighter side of things. On Twitter the 31-year-old actress said it is now “time to live life.”

The actress also said that she and Chiz can finally go on their much-delayed honeymoon. The two tied the knot in Feb last year but had to postpone honeymoon plans because of their busy schedules.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News after Chiz’s press conference, Heart said she’s “pretty happy” despite Chiz’s defeat.

“We have so much to do. We just got married. Magho-honeymoon pa kami, finally. Magba-baby pa kami. There’s so much to do. So okay lang, ganun talaga,” she said.

She is also proud of her husband. In a tweet on Mon, May 9, Heart said:

At least she’s happy, right?

And it seems Chiz pretty much has the same idea. In an article that came out in The Philippine Star on Sun, May 8, he said he was planning to “make it up to Heart” after the elections, “promising to be “sweeter, gentler, touchier and more loving.”

At the press conference in his residence in Sorsogon this morning, Chiz said he prefers Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo to win the vice presidential race now that he has accepted defeat.
