When you’re feeling extra sinful, go for a full-on indulgence with these alcohol-infused desserts. Whether it’s cupcakes in classic cocktail flavors, traditional gelato with a hefty alcohol content, or fudgy brownies packed with premium spirits and bitters — who says you’ve gotta pick just one poison?

1, Booze-infused cupcakes | Cake Shots

Cocktail lovers can have their cake and eat it too, thanks to Cake Shots. This small local bakery specializes in cupcakes laced with all kinds of booze. If you’re looking for a buzz, simply ask them to dial up the alcohol content. Their flavors include Coconut Daquiri made with Bacardi as well as Irish Creme Red Velvet made with Irish Creme Liquor (PHP80 each; PHP450 for 6; PHP850 for 12). If you’re feeling extra merry, order a few premium flavors that include the Cosmopolitan that’s loaded with vodka and Triple Sec, or the Johnny Walker Black Label-filled Black Label Chocoholic (PHP100 each; PHP570 for 6; PHP1080 for 12). Avalon Condominium, 95 Xavier Street, Greenhills, San Juan; +63 906 3269209, www.facebook.com. Order online via their Fecebook page.

2. Liquored and bitter-ed brownies | Brownie Bar

Brownie Bar has done a darn good job of marrying the luscious allure of deep dark chocolate brownies with premium tipples and bitters. These brownies are moist, chewy, bittersweet, and frankly good enough to stand on its own. But a little booze always helps! Pick your poison and spike your brownie with premium pours such as San Miguel Cerveza Negra (PHP400), Johnny Walker Black Label whiskey (PHP450), Don Papa rum (PHP495), or Frangelico (PHP495). If that’s not enough, for an additional PHP100 you can further the flavor and add a touch of Scotch Whiskey, Aged Rum, or Dark Lager bitters. Mariposa Street, Quezon City. +63 917 5209349, www.facebook.com. Order online via their website.

3. Rum laced gelato | Gelatissimo

Australian gelato chain Gelatissimo makes, hands down, some of the best Italian-style ice cream in town. The gelato (from PHP120) offered here are concentrated in flavor and the texture of their milk-based ice creams is utterly creamy and stretchy — almost to a fault. To indulge more than just your sweet tooth, try the Rum Cream gelato, a simple creation made with sweet cold cream and warming rum. For something a little more decadent, try the classic Rum and Raisin, which is similar to the latter but is speckled with welcomed little gems of sweet raisins. 2/L Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Greenbelt, Makati. +63 2 5056025, www.gelatissimo.com.ph. Daily 11am-10pm.

4. Whiskey-loaded bread pudding | Morganfield’s

Feed your whiskey cravings without lifting a bottle with a warm, sticky dessert at Morganfield’s. This barbecue chain plies us with a near-perfect bread pudding (PHP195). This dessert consists of a dense, buttery bread pudding that’s topped with a scoop of classic vanilla ice cream. The proof is quite literally in the pudding as the magic holding this dish together is all in the whiskey-based sauce. The thick golden brown sauce is deliciously nutty and delightfully sugary.  2/F Uptown Mall, 9th Avenue corner 36th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. +63 977 8036374, www.morganfields.com.ph. Daily 11am-12am.

The former is made from a blend of Jose Cuervo tequila, strawberries, local lime, and celtic sea salt whereas the former is a comprised of a mix of Don Papa rum, Tagaytay pineapples, and coconut cream. Now that’s one way to beat the heat! Blue Kitchen, LGF, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati; +63 917 8448703, www.facebook.com. Daily 11am-10pm.

6. Bailey’s and Tequila Rose charged cookies | My Cookie Lab

My Cookie Lab is known to bring it when it comes to kooky flavors of whoopie pies and crinkle. Especially mouthwatering, however, are their alcoholic crinkles (PHP110) made with Bailey’s Original Irish Cream and Tequila Rose. The Bailey’s Crinkles are made with two classic chewy crinkles sandwiching a Bailey’s-infused cream cheese frosting. Lovers of red velvet and tequila, however, will go gaga for the Tequila Rose Crinkles. These scarlet colored babies are made of two moist red velvet crinkles held together with a thick layer of Tequila Rose-infused cream cheese frosting. 75 East Nicanor Roxas St, Bgy Santo Domingo, Quezon City; +63 998 9999743, www.mycookielab.com.  Daily 12pm-10pm.
