Here we go again.
Actors John Lloyd Cruz and Jericho Rosales are again competing for the Best Actor award — this time at the upcoming 39th Gawad Urian.
The two were first pitted against each other at the Metro Manila Film Festival last December: Jericho for his performance in Walang Forever, John Lloyd for the controversial movie Honor Thy Father. Jericho won that night.
This time, both are nominated for the same roles; John Lloyd is also nominated for the reprise of his role of Popoy (from the movie One More Chance) in the sequel A Second Chance.
In the Best Actress category, veteran actress Nora Aunor is nominated for Taklub. She is competing against seven other actresses, including Angeli Bayani, who won two years ago for Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan.
The Gawad Urian, an annual film awards, is given by the highly esteemed Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
