We hear wedding bells for Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo — and we’re not going crazy. It’s actually happening.
Paul, a Pinoy Big Brother alumnus, proposed to the 34-year-old actress on Wed, May 17.
A video uploaded by writer Darla Sauler shows him popping the question to Kaye at a surprise party at the Bellevue Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, on Wed night, when the actress turned 34.
“We started off as friends tapos naging partner in crime kita, best friend, tapos hindi mo talaga napigilan at ginawa mo akong boyfriend. Now I’d like to seal it. Will you marry me?” Paul asked Kaye.
Kaye’s celebrity friends, like Pooh and Nikki Valdez, were present during the proposal.
Kaye and Paul Jake admitted two years ago that they’re officially a couple.
Kaye initially said that she didn’t think it was possible for them to have a romantic relationship since they started out as friends. They’ve been friends since 2010, when they both starred in an afternoon soap opera on ABS-CBN.
“Sinasabi ko noon na hindi at imposible kasi very platonic yung relationship namin [ni Paul Jake]. Oo, magkasundo kami pero pag-iniisip ko na yung romantic side, parang hindi. Actually nagulat kaming dalawa and kinain ko yung mga sinabi ko na imposibleng maging kami,” she said in a June 2014 interview.
