Angelica Panganiban hasn’t moved on from her breakup with John Lloyd Cruz

Angelica Panganiban admitted during the Sun, May 22 episode of ABS-CBN’s late night talk show Gandang Gabi Vice that she is not completely over her ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.

“Hindi pa ako nakaka-move on. Hayaan niyo na. Malapit na. Kaya ko, kaya ko,” she told program host Vice Ganda.

The ABS-CBN actress quipped that she considered transferring networks just to avoid John Lloyd. “Pero sabi ko nga, dahil may respeto ako sa ABS-CBN, sige, hindi na lang ako lilipat, magre-retire na lang ako,” she said.

Angelica, 29, even joked that she’s having a hard time moving on because she keeps on seeing John Lloyd in billboards all over Metro Manila.

“E sikat, di ba? So maraming billboard. Pag nakita ko, ‘O, ayan na naman.’ Maiyak na naman ako,” she said. “Kunwari ngayon, wala naman, di ba? So makakamove on ako n’yan. Pag labas ko, ayan may billboard, mag mo-move on na naman ako, e.”

The lesson she learned from all this? If you’re gonna date a celebrity, choose someone who is no longer famous or has no direction in life.

“Lesson learned talaga, huwag sikat. Kung gusto mo ng artista, yung laos o kaya yung feeling mo wala nang direksyon. Yung parang wala masyadong papel sa mundo. Yung tulala lang. Yun ang hinahanap ko ngayon, yung lalaking tulala lang,” she joked.

Turning serious, Angelica said she forced herself to feel better when she found herself extremely down in the dumps because of the split.

“Nakita ko yung sarili ko na para bang nasobrahang down na down. Kasi hindi ako nag-open up sa kaibigan ko, sa pamilya ko, ganyan. Pero nung nakita ko yung sarili ko na ganun, parang, ‘Hoy, girl, tama na. Nakakaawa ka na. Down na down na, bangon.’ Ganun,” Angelica explained.

But the actress said that despite her current disposition, she has no ill feelings towards anyone, not even John Lloyd. They’re trying to remain friends even after the split, Angelica added. They even saw each other in Hong Kong and Manila after their breakup.

“Kasi hindi niyo na na-save ang relationship niyo as a couple, so i-save niyo ang relationship niyo bilang magkaibigan,” she said.
