Is there hope for the reconciliation of ex-lovers Zsa Zsa Padilla and Conrad Onglao?
Philippine Daily Inquirer‘s Thelma San Juan talked to Onglao following his breakup with the singer-writer. In her article published on Sun, May 23, San Juan wrote that the famed architect talked to her “as if the relationship isn’t over — not yet.”
“And (Conrad) remains hopeful that they could get back together,” she added.
In the article — titled “Now that Digong’s been elected — so why did Zsa Zsa and Conrad split up?” — San Juan revealed that Zsa Zsa suddenly just left Conrad’s home in Makati to move back to her house in Marina Baytown East (a.k.a. Marina Bay) Subdivision in Parañaque City, where she used to live with her late partner Dolphy.
San Juan further wrote: “He said that the morning after Zsa Zsa left, he sent food over to Marina, since Zsa Zsa was still sick, and, after that, flowers and a long letter, asking her why and if they could talk things over. He also wrote her that if she really didn’t love him anymore, he’d rather that she tell him to his face.”
Zsa Zsa responded by sending “everything sent back except for the letters.” She also wrote Conrad a letter “saying she’s tired and it’s over.” She also returned the promise ring and diamond engagement he had given her.
San Juan’s story seems to be in line with Conrad’s statement about the breakup.
“I love and respect her a lot and whatever issues we have are between us and hopefully we can work it out and who knows maybe get back again,” Conrad said in a statement sent to ABS-CBN News. “She’s the best thing that ever happened to me, ever!”
