Jaclyn, 52, is the first Filipino to win the best actress award at Cannes. She was also part of Mendoza’s movie Serbis, which competed at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008.

The veteran actress, who is currently part of the GMA soap opera The Millionaire’s Wife, was visibly overwhelmed when she accepted her best actress award during the film festival’s award ceremony.

She went on stage with Mendoza and her daughter Andi Eigenmann, who is also part of Ma’Rosa

“I don’t know what to say. I’m so surprised. I just went to have the red carpet walk with my daughter,” she said.
