Look: Jaw-dropping powdery white sand of Palawan’s Balabac Islands

When Rod Acuzar Jr was invited by a group of travelers on a trip to the southern end of Palawan last February, he had no idea what he was in for. The admin and creator of the Just Go Pilipinas Facebook Page, originally from Oriental Mindoro and now residing in Metro Manila, said it took them almost 10 hours to reach the town of Bataraza, gateway to Balabac Islands.

“It was a looooong trip. From Puerto Princesa City it’s a five- to seven-hour van ride going to Rio Tuba in the town of Bataraza, gateway to Balabac Islands. And then another three-hour boat ride,” the 30-year-old art director told Coconuts Manila

It was worth the trip, as you can see on his video below — powdery white sand that go as far as the eyes can see.

This short clip was shot on Punta Sebaring, an island owned by Carlos Renato Principe, who also runs a travel tour.

“We camped there for five days and went island hopping every day. There are no resorts in there. You have to camp, back to basics! You have the sky as your roof and the powdery white sand as your floor. And maraming niknik! Ha ha ha, Price to pay to experience the beauty of Balabac. I think 31 islands pero we only reached 7 islands,” he recalled.

There are two groups offering tours to Balabac Islands: Kilometer Zero and Carlos Renato Principe (+63 929 1403125).
