Get your rain gear out!
On Tue, May 24, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) declared the onset of the rainy season in the wake of increasingly frequent rainshowers and thunderstorms across the archipelago.
In a statement, acting PAGASA administrator Vicente Manalo, “These prominent changes suggest strong manifestation on the shift from dry season to wet season.”
“Manalo also said that the Southwest Monsoon was already upon the archipelago, bringing rainclouds and rain into the country,” reports GMA News Online.
