No, Ellen Adarna and Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, son of incoming president Rodrigo Duterte, are not an item.
The ABS-CBN actress took to social media to clarify rumors linking her to Baste during the weekend.
This is after Ellen posted photos of herself with Baste while on vacation is Siargao, Surigao del Norte.
This prompted some of her more than one-million followers on Instagram to ask: Is something going on between Ellen and Baste? But the 28-year-old actress clarified on an Instagram post on Sun, May 30, that they’re just friends.
Ellen wrote: “Sa mga fans ni baste ug sa mga ‘assuming’.. naa cyay uyab. Pero dili ako migo rami.” In English, it roughly translates to, “To Baste’s fan and to those assuming, she has a girlfriend. But not me, we’re just friends.”
In previous interviews, Baste had admitted having a girlfriend and a two-year-old son. Ellen, meanwhile, is single. She was briefly linked to fellow actor EJ Falcon, but their romance quickly fizzled out. She’s also dated basketballl player and been with businessman Raoul Olbes.

Based on her succeeding posts, Ellen is in Siargao to celebrate her friend Beauty Gonzalez’s birthday.
But while rumors linking Ellen and Baste aren’t true, the photos probably made you think the sexy ABS-CBN actress would make a good girlfriend for the popular presidential son.
