KC Concepcion: I love my life despite being away from the limelight!

KC Concepcion has been under the radar lately, and some people think that means she’s unhappy. Duh.

The 31-year-old TV host-actress took to Twitter on Tue, May 31, to tell her more than four million followers that she loves her life right now, even if she has not been part of any major TV or movie project since the end of 2015.

“Why can’t people understand that I love my life right now? Do you have to accept movie or teleserye projects to be able to say u’r ‘happy’,” KC tweeted.

She added life is not all about her career; she’s merely focusing on other aspects of her life.

“It’s my choice to take a step back from being in the public eye in the last two years. I focused on the U.N., my businesses, and hosting.”

KC’s Twitter post is a response to fans and showbiz pundits who are saying KC has already lost her luster as a star, hence her lack of projects the past several months.

Her last major TV project was the soap opera Ikaw Lamang with Coco Martin and Kim Chiu. She also starred in a one-month Christmas mini-series in 2014. But since then, KC has been absent from limelight. Her biggest TV gig since 2015 was her hosting stint at the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 coronation night. There have been no reported upcoming projects.

But KC is saying the showbiz hiatus is her choice. She’s been working on passion projects while away from showbiz. She also remains a contract star of ABS-CBN.

“There is a time for everything. Work is a priority. It’s not always the work you SEE. Sometimes we have to MAKE TIME for other priorities!” she explained.

One of those priorities is KC’s Closet, an online store for a cause.
