Vicki Belo’s children were against her surrogate pregnancy at first

Vicki Belo, Hayden Kho and their daughter Scarlet Snow are currently a picture of a happy family.

But not everyone was on board with Vicki having another baby via surrogate.

In an interview with MJ Felipe on ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol aired Thu, May 2, Vicki admitted her children Cristalle and Quark were initially opposed to the idea.

“Kumontra talaga sila. Basically kasi, number one, si Hayden parang hindi pa nila trust,” she said. (They were against. Basically because, number one, they didn’t trust Hayden at that time).

Vicki added: “Number two, parang [sabi nila], ‘Anong ginagawa mo, ang tanda mo na?'” (Number two, they said, ‘What are you doing, you’re old.’)

But obviously, Quark and Cristalle ended up supporting their mother’s decision to have Scarlet Snow.

Vicki, 60, said she doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes she did when raising her two older children.

“Kasi dati, nagtatrabaho ako, I was in med school. Sobra akong nag-aaral, nagdu-duty, wala talagang oras sa mga anak,” she said. (Before, I was working. I was in med school. I was studying. I didn’t have time for my children.)

“I’m trying my best to be a better mother,” Vicki added.
