The ABS-CBN comedian took to Instagram to share his photos with Duterte and his son Baste in Davao City on Sun, Jun 5.
“The PRESIDENT and his VICE,” the It’s Showtime co-host wrote.
For the caption for his photo with the Presidential son, Vice wrote “Beauty and the Baste,” perhaps a play on title of his 2015 movie Beauty and the Bestie.
Vice was supposed to perform during Duterte’s victory party in Davao City on Sat, Jun 4. However, he had to cancel his performance due to an power outage. Nonetheless, the comedian still stepped onstage to greet the audience.

Vice’s support for Duterte is a bit surprising. Although he did not openly campaign for anyone during election season, the comedian is known to be a close friend of Kris Aquino, brother of President Benigno Aquino III and vocal supporter of administration bets Mar Roxas and Leni Rodredo.
But maybe it isn’t too surprising. Duterte appeared in Vice’s ABS-CBN late night talk show Gandang Gabi Vice in July 2015.
Other celebrities present during the Duterte victory party include Carlos Agassi, Sarah Lahbati, Aaron Villaflor, and Bernardo Bernardo, among others.
