Somebody just turned the tables on the incoming President Rodrigo Duterte.
A PHP50M reward is supposedly being offered for killing Duterte and incoming Philippine National Police head Chief Supt. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa. Both have been actively campaigning against illegal drugs.
“Kahapon, PHP50 million [ang reward] either ako o si mayor (Duterte) dahil walang takers sa PHP10 million,” dela Rosa said during a live interview for GMA 7’s Unang Balita.
(Yesterday, the reward was raised to PHP50M to kill me or Mayor Duterte. No one wanted to do it for PHP10M.)
Dela Rosa did not disclose the details about who is behind the plan.
During his presidential victory at the Crocodile Park in Davao City, Duterte said that he will reward PHP5M to those who can kill or arrest drug lords.
“Sa mga addict and pushers, ang mga addict, biktima lang. Ihinto na ninyo. Sa pusher: Malaking tsansa ang mamatay kayo.”, dela Rosa warned.
(“For drug addicts, you are victims. Stop it. For pushers, there is a good chance that you will die.”)
