The Abu Sayyaf has killed another hostage — Canadian national Robert Hall — in Sulu on Mon afternoon, Jun 13.
The terrorist group had demanded PHP600 million for Hall’s release and gave today as the deadline.
The terrorist group’s designated spokesman, Abu Raami, confirmed its execution of Hall via a phone call to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He added that Hall’s body would be found somewhere in Jolo town later today.
Hall, along with fellow Canadian John Ridsdel, Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad, and Filipina Marithes Flor, were kidnapped from the Holiday Oceanview Samal Resort on Samal Island last Sep 21, 2015, by the Abu Sayyaf Group.
The extremist group had initially demanded PHP1 billion for each of them as ransom.
It may be recalled that Ridsdel was executed by the terrorists last Apr.
Two suspects were arrested in Oct 2015.
