Duterte meets with his Cabinet appointees at PICC

The President-elect is gearing up for what lies ahead.

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte gathered all his Cabinet appointees for a meeting at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on Wed, Jun 15.

“Duterte landed in Pasay City at sundown via chopper and then went straight to meet his appointees at the PICC past 6pm.

“The meeting was off-limits to the media. It was the first time for the administration-in-waiting to meet in Manila.

“Their earlier meets with Duterte were held at the Presidential Guest House or the Malacañang of the South in Barangay Panacan, Davao City,” reports Tarra Quismundo in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Incoming chief of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Martin Andanar disclosed that “all available” appointees were called to the meeting.

The report noted: “Among those who were seen arriving at the PICC were appointed Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, spokesperson Salvador Panelo, incoming Secretaries Leonor Briones (Education), Judy Taguiwalo (Social Welfare), Benjamin Diokno (Budget), Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, and incoming police chief Chief Supt. Ronald dela Rosa.”
