A ring girl’s job appears easy enough: “Look pretty, hold a card and don’t trip.”
Not everyone can do it, though. After all, how many girls can be like Arianny Celeste (who, by the way, is half-Filipino!)?
At the very least, a ring girl has to be confident enough to strut her stuff in a testosterone-fueled arena to kick off excitement as athletes prepare to fight.
Poise, a nice smile and good body proportions are required.
Plus points for nice underarms. They will be exposed for all to see when round cards are held up high.
If you think you have what it takes, World Series of Fighting – Global Championship (WSOF-GC) is looking for a ring girl for their next event on Jul 30 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
How to join?
Those interested in becoming the Official Decagon Girl of WSOF Global can submit their application by emailing RINGGIRL@WSOF.ASIA — contact details, recent photos, and links to social media accounts should be included in the message.
Ten women will be selected to compete in an online competition where the fans vote for their favorite ring girl. The five women with the most votes will compete in a live ring girl contest at Araneta Center on July 23.
Aside from bragging rights, the lucky winner will win PHP 50,000 and represent Philippines at WSOF event. Four runners up will also win cash prizes and be selected to be the Global certified promotional models at the event.
