Only PTV-4 and RTVM allowed live coverage of Duterte inauguration

It’s all in the name of making things less confusing.

“Only the state-run People’s Television 4 (PTV-4) and Radio Television Malacanang (RTVM) would be allowed in Rizal Hall at Malacañan Palace to cover the inauguration of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte ‪on Jun 30,” reports Nestor Corrales on Inquirer.net.

That means all media outfits have to rely on PTV 4 and RTVM for their live videos.

Incoming Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) head Martin Andanar explained that Rizal Hall “could only accommodate around 500 guests, who would include foreign diplomats and lawmakers.”

Andanar added that “other journalists who will cover the inauguration would be given a work station outside the Rizal Hall, probably at the New Executive Building.”
