Abu Sayyaf kidnaps 7 Indonesian sailors

Will this ever end?

Earlier this week, Abu Sayyaf militants have abducted seven crew members of an Indonesian tugboat that passed through the Sulu archipelago.

“Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi told reporters Fri, Jun 24, that the Indonesian government will try all options to free the hostages,” reports Associated Press.

No other details have been provided by initial reports.

The Abu Sayyaf has freed Filipina Marites Flor, who was kidnapped along with Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad and Canadians John Ridsdel and Robert Hall from the Holiday Oceanview Samal Resort on Samal Island last Sep 21, 2015.

Ridsdel and Hall were murdered by the group, while Sekkingstad remains in captivity.
