Michael Cinco: First Filipino fashion designer to present at Paris Fashion Week

For the first time in history, a Filipino fashion designer will shake up the sophisticated fashion capital in the upcoming Paris Fashion Week in July.

Michael Cinco will present his 30-piece Autumn/Winter collection, featuring both couture and ready-to-wear creations.

Cinco described his collection as a “homage to the beauty of nature.”

The Dubai-based Filipino designer is known for dresssing up Hollywood A-listers such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell and Christina Aguilera.

He first caught the attention of international supermodel Tyra Banks in the 16th cycle of the famous model search competition – America’s Next Top Model (ANTM).

His collection for the Paris Fashion Week will be presented by Asian Couture Federation (ACF), of which he is a member, Manila Bulletin reports.

ACF is an organization that seeks to “recognize, support and promote Asian Couturiers who have exhibited the highest levels of artistry in fashion design.”

We checked out some of his work on his Instagram and we are in absolute awe.

His ready-to-wear collection looks pretty amazing too.

Here’s a picture of the Queen B wearing his work.

Bonus: Turns out he had a collaboration with Bench earlier this year. How could we have missed this?!

Congratulations!
