‘Bigwasan Na’? Kiko-Baron match ends in draw and reconciliation

The mega hyped MMA (mixed martial arts) fight between actors Baron Geisler and Kiko Matos ended in a draw Saturday night.

In the URCC Fight Night sidematch that many spectators described as underwhelming, Spin.ph reports that Matos was the aggressor for most of the fight, while Geisler was merely playing defensive and a lot of time on his back, being pinned by the more agile Matos.

Both actors failed to land a single kick or punch, though. And what is an MMA fight without some action? A pretty dull one.

But at least a portion of the fight proceeds will go to charity, or so they say.

The match ended with a unanimous 19-19 draw while the audience chanted “One more round! One more round!” But URCC founder Alvin Aguilar and the organizers decided against it.

After the match, a winded Geisler takes the mic and asks, “Are you not entertained?” Channeling his inner Russell Crowe in the movie Gladiator. The audience replied with a resounding “No!”

Well, he asked for it.

When asked about a possible rematch, both actors said no, saying they no longer have ill feelings towards each other.

What happened to the pre-fight tough-talking Geisler and the pee-spraying Matos? We don’t know either. Oh well, guess we just have to wait until their next bar brawl to actually see some action.
