With his colorful adventures as a private citizen, Mar Roxas is now starting to become everyone’s favorite tito.
Last Sunday, the losing presidential candidate played the role of a supportive husband as he watched his wife Korina Sanchez earn her Master’s degree in journalism from Ateneo de Manila University.
“Such a sight to see: graduates marching in to the familiar tah-tatatata-tah tune. So proud, so serious and so confident! Parents (and husbands like me) so proud also. Congrats to Korina and all the other graduates. AMDG, One Big Fight,” he captioned the photos uploaded on his Facebook page.
Korina Sanchez is an icon of broadcast journalism in the Philippines. In 1986, she started as a host in the ABS-CBN show Magandang Umaga Po.
She earlier said taking up higher studies has always been in her bucket list, but it always took the back seat because of her demanding work.
Korina’s graduation photos gave us a glimpse of her fun side.
“It helped me get a grip on my own life, too. The exercise of taking Master’s in Journalism isn’t just for more knowledge or to equip me better as a professional. It was also, and mostly in this particular circumstance, a way to discipline my mind,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN news.
