Over the weekend, Kris Aquino— who’s on a three-month US vacation with her children Bimby and Josh — told her over two million followers on Instagram that she was going to be back in the country yesterday, Jun 26.
“We’ll be home soon — I am so grateful for the opportunity to just be Kuya Josh & Bimb’s MOM,” she said in an Instagram post on Sat, Jun 25.
Her latest Instagram photo, posted on Sun evening, shows Josh and Bimby inside an airplane with the caption: “Home in about 2 hours.”
Her return to the Philippines is a bit earlier than expected, but not exactly news. Ricky Lo of the Philippine Star reported last May that Kris will be back by end of July.

What is news, however, is that Kris may make her TV comeback soon, and not in the network you’d expect.
According to tabloid reports, Kris will make an appearance in Yan Ang Morning, the morning show of Marian Rivera that airs on GMA, the rival network of Kris’ long-time network ABS-CBN.
According to a report on Pilipino Star Ngayon, Kris agreed to appear on the GMA morning show to show her gratitude to Dingdong Dantes, Marian’s husband, for helping out in the vice presidential campaign of Leni Robredo.
If this pushes through, this means Kris will appear in a morning show that competes with ABS-CBN Magandang Buhay, the program that replaced her former morning show Kris TV.
Kris is currently not an ABS-CBN artist (she did not renew her contract with the network last March) so anything is possible.
According to her friend Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino and ABS-CBN are talking, so this does not mean the TV host-actress is making a network switch.
“I am not in the position to discuss, pero I know ABS-CBN and Kris are talking about a possible show or shows,” Boy told Pep.ph
