TV host and comedian Arnell Ignacio has been given a position in the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), said Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar in an Inquirer report.
Ignacio was appointed assistant vice president for the community relation and services department of the government- owned and -controlled corporation best known for gaming and gambling.
“To the President, Chairman Andrea Domingo and the Filipino people hindi kayo magsisisi (you won’t regret it). My wholehearted appreciation for the trust you have given me,” he said on a Facebook post on Friday.
In a separate post, Ignacio described the job that he will doing.
“Pagcor isn’t all about gaming. As the AVP of the Community Relation and Services Department of Pagcor we will be taking massively funded steps to improve health services, comprehensive feeding programs, completion of school buildings etc. No area will be too far from our helping hand.”
Ignacio said that he was thankful for the “blessings of powerful and moving inspirations this year.”
During the elections season, Ignacio helped campaign for the President.
