Where in the world is Kobe? Paras dropping post-UCLA clues on social media

The ball is, quite literally, now in his court.

With a future playing for the University of California in Los Angeles basketball team nixed, Kobe Paras has been busy exploring other opportunities.

Clearly, he has has not allowed UCLA’s baffling rejection throw him off the court.

Based on his social media accounts, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard is busy shopping for a new NCAA Division 1 college (there are 347 of them across the USA) and he’s already been to three institutions: Creighton, Loyola Marymount and California State University.

At Creighton University, in Nebraska, he posted a photo of himself holding the 2014 Naismith Award of Chicago Bulls player Doug McDermott. (The Naismith is like the Oscar’s of his sport.)

His post from Loyola Marymount University, this time in Los Angeles, showed his father, PBA legend Benjie Paras, standing proudly next to his son and the Jesuit institution’s coaches. “Still in talks with more than 80 Division 1 Schools,” he wrote.

There was also that post from the grounds of California State University, with another cryptic message, this time from Kobe’s alma mater Cathedral High School.

“There is power in family. @lucaspipoka comes home & helps @Im_Not_Kobe make decisions on college. At CSUN [California State University] today.”

Three days ago, Kobe posted an aerial view of a city, taken from inside an airplane. “Business trip,” he wrote

Where in the world is Kobe? At 18, the young Paras is learning that life is about the journey, not the destination.

Keep us posted, Kobe!
