Finally! New airport chief Ed Monreal orders more chairs installed at NAIA terminals

At this point, it doesn’t take much to please people who have put up with all the problems at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Ed Monreal is on the right track with his simple yet very smart move.

“Monreal has ordered more gang chairs installed at the NAIA Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) after seeing passengers seated on the floor or on their trolleys,” reports Rudy Santos in The Philippine Star.

Monreal explained, “I was ashamed to see passengers slumping on the floor in every corner of the departure lobby of the NAIA-3 while waiting for their flight. They are paying terminal fees, indeed they deserve the best service and facilities.”

NAIA-3 manager Ric Medalla said additional gang chairs had been placed in the departure lobby and that they are doing their best to render excellent service.

Monreal has likewise instructed managers of NAIA Terminals 1 and 2 to install more gang chairs.
