Crowded train? PNR passenger finds a comfy spot

Compared to the other passengers on the train, this guy looks like he’s having the time of his life.

An unidentified man opted to climb the train’s luggage compartment to make space for more people during his rush hour commute. He rode the Philippine National Railways (PNR) at around 8pm on Wed night.

Edmer Bade Dhel took the photo and shared it on his Facebook account. His post immediately went viral.

Sa sobrang siksikan sa tren kanina. Kung anu-ano na lang ang naiisipan ng mga tao! Hahaha” he captioned his post.

(“People thought of ridiculous things to do because the train was so crowded. Hahaha.”)

According to Dhel, the man quickly climbed the compartment when they reached the FTI station.

Walang pumigil sa lalaki, nagulat na lang daw sila kasi mabilis nakaayat, tapos nagtawanan na lang sila,” he said in an ABS-CBN report.

(“No one stopped the guy. They were shocked because he climbed quickly. They just laughed about it”)

In the Philippines, the luggage compartments in trains are rarely used because commuters are scared of having their stuff stolen.

The state-run PNR currently serves around 70,000 passengers a day.
