Yes, Ai-Ai delas Alas is officially single.
But no, that doesn’t mean she has broken up with her non-showbiz beau, Gerald Sibayan.
In an Instagram post on Sat, Jul 23, the comedienne revealed that the Philippine court has recognized her divorce from Jed Salang.

Ai-Ai’s post shows a photo from her lawyer from Fortun Narvasa and Salazar Law Offices stating that the Quezon City Regional Trial Court has granted her “petition to enforce the foreign Divorce Decree in this country capacitating you to remarry.”
“Finally — mega super single na ako,” her caption reads.
Ai-Ai, 51, married Salang in the US in Apr 2013. However, they separated a month after their wedding.
Her divorce with Jed was finalized in the US in Jan 2014.
In the same year, Ai-Ai admitted she is in a relationship with Gerald, who is almost 30 years her junior.
In an another Instagram post on Sun, Jul 24, Ai-Ai clarified that while she is technically single, her heart is taken.
She explained that she needed an “enforcement of foreign judgment” from the Philippine court for her divorce with Jed to be recognized in the country. “Hindi po ako single may boyfriend pa din po ako,” Ai-Ai said.
(I am not single, I still have a boyfriend.)
Ai-Ai also said that even though she has legal permission to remarry, she won’t be tying the knot again any time soon.
“Ang kagandahan lang malinis at walang wala na akong problema kung magpapakasal ako, yun na yun. Ang meaning ng super single na ako,” Ai-Ai explained.
(What’s good is I won’t have a problem if I decided to marry, that’s what I meant by I’m ‘super single.’)
