This is what Jessy Mendiola said when asked for a message to her bashers, at the sidelines of FHM Philippines’ 100 Sexiest victory party at the Valkyrie in Taguig City on Tue, Jul 26.
Even the 23-year-old actress — hailed the sexiest woman of the year by the lad mag — acknowledged the fact that gets a lot of hate online.

Lately, Jessy is getting some flak over reports that she is in a relationship with TV host Luis Manano (they’re dating, the two admitted in separate interviews earlier this month). She even met Luis’ mother, Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos, recently, confirming that their relationship is becoming deeper as the day goes by.
But Jessy is ignoring the hate. She is happy, after all, thanks to the recognition from FHM Philippines. “You’ll really get bashers, you”ll really get haters. But, I’m not the only one who is getting bashed,” she said.

Jessy further quipped: “I’m not the only one who is being hated. But hell, I’m the sexiest woman right and I’m just really happy. So I’ll just leave it at that.”
Coconuts Manila and other members of the press talked to Jessy after the FHM Philippies victory part. Here’s an excerpt:
You’re glowing, Jessy. Are you inspired right now?
Yes, I’m very happy right now… because of FHM.
You recently met Luis’ mom, Vilma Santos. How was the encounter?
They actually invited me for dinner. Tapos, yun na. She was kind enough to ask me how I was. Yun, she advised us to just be happy. As long as wala kaming ginagawang masama, we just go on with our lives.
Were you nervous?
Sobrang kinabahan ako. Pero sobrang bait kasi n’ya. Nakakatuwa kasi pagpasok ko pa lang sa bahay nila, sobrang welcome na. I can attest na talagang mabait si Congresswoman Vi.
Are you and Luis officially a couple now?
Hindi pa.
When will you admit that you and Luis are in a relationship?
Kapag yun na. (Laughs)
From the set back, set up to the come back. How do you feel? (Jessy was involved in a number of intrigues last year, most notably her breakup with JM de Guzman and her encounter with Enrique Gil during their flight to London)
Feeling ko, ito na. Sana magtuloy-tuloy na siya, kasi alam naman nating lahat na I wasn’t really… feeling ko I was sort of floating for the past years. And now that a little limelight is shining upon me, I feel really happy. I feel really blessed despite all the intrigues, the issues thrown at me.
Is your relationship with Luis stronger due to the intrigues you two faced?
He’s very kind enough to take over my Instagram account and block the haters one by one. Yeah, you can say that, mas tumibay naman talaga. Sabi nga niya, it’s a journey.
