Will Angel Locsin reprise her role as the Pinay superheroine Darna?
This is the question fans are asking after seeing the ABS-CBN actress’ Instagram post on Thu, Jul 28.
Angel posted a photo of herself doing what she described as a “yabang pose” after a session at the gym.
Except fans interpreted the photo differently: they saw it as Angel doing the “Darna pose.”
Angel famously played the popular local comic book character in the 2005 GMA TV show.
She was supposed to play the character again in an upcoming Darna movie but had to back out due to a health problem.
Her fans, however, are still hoping Angel would still play Darna in the movie.
“Our forever legit Darna,” read one of the comments on her Instagram.
“I’m looking forward seeing you as darna in the big screen,” said another.
Angel is currently working on the Star Cinema movie The Third Party with Zanjoe Marudo and Sam Milby, slated for release this year. Darna is expected to come out in theaters in 2017, so maybe there’s still hope for Angel’s fans?
