Another showbiz personality is joining the Duterte administration.
Aiza Seguerra has been appointed chairperson of the National Youth Commission, PTV4’s Twitter account reported on Fri, Aug 12.

It’s long been rumored that the singer-actor will be given a government post. Aiza and life partner Liza Diño supported President Rodrigo Duterte in the 2016 elections.
Liza is also the daughter of Martin Diño, whom Duterte replaced as the standard bearer of PDP-Laban during the presidential elections.
It was earlier rumored that Aiza will be given a position in the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, especially after he attended a “sectorial consultation” by the agency in June.
But he denied being appointed NCCA commissioner. Aiza also denied he was going to be the “culture czar” of the Duterte administration.
The appointment does not come as a complete surprise. Francisco Tatad, in his Jul 19 column for the Manila Times, wrote Aiza may become chair of the NYC.
