Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito slug it out on Twitter – and it’s damn entertaining

As they say in showbiz, bad publicity is still publicity. And it can’t get any better than this.

Last week, Andi Eigenmann — with Arci Munoz, Yassi Pressman, Bela Padilla, and Kim Molina — faced members of the press to promote their upcoming movie Camp Sawi.

It’s a movie about five girls who go a camp for the hearbroken.

Naturally, movie reporters asked the stars about their previous heartbreaks. Andi talked about ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito and said there will she will never get back together with him.

A Pep.ph report said Andi has moved on from her relationship with Jake, which officially ended two years ago.

But it seems Jake did not appreciate Andi discussing their relationship with the press.

On Mon, Aug 15, Jake tweeted that he has no idea why he’s being mentioned in interviews to “promote something I’m not even part of and when my closest connection to the film is someone I haven’t been in proper contact with for a long time.”

While he did not say it directly, it’s obvious Jake is pertaining to Andi and Camp Sawi

Jake added: “Can’t you promote your film by only entertaining questions about the film or perhaps your career?”

“As much as I’ve tried my best to ignore it, I can’t stay silent when I am conveniently and effortlessly being maligned out of nowhere.”

Of course, Andi did not letting this go without a fight.

In a series of tweets on Tue, Aug 16, Andi slammed Jake for thinking she used him to promote the movie.

The actress explained that of course reporters will ask about her past heartbreak, given the movie’s title and theme.

(From the title alone you know what our movie is about. Of course in our interviews the first question for us five would be about the time we experienced heartbreak. Before you think you were being used for the movie, I hope you consider that we only answered based on what we felt at the time.)

The actress added that only Jake, among the exes discussed during the press conference, complained about being used to promote the movie.

Andi went on to say she has four beautiful and talented co-stars. “Hindi kita kailangan para lang panoorin ang pelikula namin,” she said.  (I don’t need you to make people watch our movie.)

(So before you think you are being used or dragged into the film, just tell people not to ask me about the people who hurt me and the time I was most hurt.)

She further said: “If you have no ounce of respect for me, then i have lost all respect I had left for you.”

Andi also called Jake narcissistic. She added “Kaya nawala yung taong mahal mo sa buhay mo dahil masyado kang busy hanapin lahat ng mali kesa tumingin sa tama.”

(You lost the person who you loved because you were too busy looking for what’s wrong than what’s right.)

Ouch.

Andi ended her Twitter missives by saying: “Love you FAM! No more bad vibrations in here. Stay positive all!”

Meanwhile, here’s what Jake has to say about Andi’s tweets, sort of.
