A 36-year-old Filipina and her eight-week old son were found dead in their home in Long Beach, California, sometime before 6:30am on Tue, Sep 13, in what investigators labeled as a case of murder-suicide.
According to the Long Beach Police, both subjects suffered multiple stab wounds on the upper body. They were both declared dead on the spot by the fire department, reports Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Investigators have not identified a motive in the fatal stabbing.
The newly-widowed husband was devastated upon hearing the news about the death of his wife and their young son. According to neighbors, the family appeared to have a healthy and happy life, even hosting barbecue parties for neighbors.
The woman left behind another son, who is two years old.
