Whoa: Taiwanese video calls Duterte ‘moron’, ‘clown’ and a ‘Kim Jong Un wannabe’

It’s impossible to unsee the image of President Rodrigo Duterte dancing in a clown costume, complete with a multi-colored jumpsuit and a bright red nose.

Taiwanese animators have depicted the tough-talking Filipino president as a clown with a penchant for violence in a viral video that will undoubtedly insult the thousands of Duterte supporters who see him as a hero.

“If Scarface were a clown, he would be President Rodrigo Duterte,” the video boldly stated, referring to the character in a Hollywood movie about a Cuban immigrant who becomes a drug kingpin.

Inspired by Duterte’s administration’s bloody war on drugs, the Philippine president was depicted as a gang-leader in the killing of drug suspects on the streets.

The video highlights that there has been more than 3,000 drug-related deaths since he took over in June.

Basically saying that Duterte Harry’s mouth causes him trouble, the video pokes fun at how his profanity-laced statements didn’t sit well with Pope Francis, POTUS Barack Obama and the United Nations.

“His mouth has been writing checks, his country can’t cash,” said the video.

Duterte was also shown as a supporter of China and Russia.

“Someone needs to just take this Kim Jong Un wannabe out and soon, before he really does some irreparable damage to the Philippines. Maybe it’s time he gets a little taste of his own medicine,” the video said.

The brave souls who made this video? Next Animation Studio and Tomo News, who have also created animated pieces about Trump, Clinton and the British Prime Minister.

As of writing, the video has earned 46,588 views.
