By now, many of you know that Imelda Schweighart will be representing the Philippines in Miss Earth 2016 on Oct 29.
But there’s another girl we can all root for in the upcoming pageant: Cloie Syquia Skarne.

Cloie is the daughter of actor Gabby Concepcion. Her mother is Jenny Syquia. Gabby and Jenny broke up sometime in the mid-1990s. Like Gabby, Jenny remarried. Her husband, Swedish national Filip Skarne eventually legally adopted Cloie.
Cloie will represent Sweden in the Miss Earth pageant after placing second in the Miss Universe Sweden pageant last Aug.
The 84 candidates of Miss Earth arrived in the country and were presented to the press last week.

Cloie, Imelda, and the other Miss Earth contestants will be touring the country for pre-pageant activities before the pageant’s coronation night on Sat, Oct 29.
