Jollibee looks so cute in a barong!

This isn’t something we get to see everyday.

The nation’s most popular bee was dressed in a traditional barong Tagalog for the 6th Jollibee Family Values Awards (JFVA) night held at Shangri-La Makati last week. Without a doubt, he was the cutest guest at the celebration.

Jollibee fit right in. Everyone who attended donned traditional Filipino outfits, including Darren Espanto, and 4th Impact, who performed at the event.

Six families won the months-long search for “Filipino families with admirable advocacies”. Each family was awarded PHP300,000, a trophy designed by brass sculptor Michael Cacnio, and PHP10,000 worth of Jollibee gift certificates.

Plus the rare opportunity of having a photo op with Jollibee in a barong, of course!

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the bee in a barong. He also wore the country’s national outfit last June for Independence day.

To be honest, this begs the question: Who wore the barong Tagalog better, Jollibee or Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau?
