SC extends suspension order on Marcos at Libingan ng mga Bayani

Will this issue ever get resolved?

“On Tue, Oct 18, the Supreme Court decided to extended for the second time the status quo ante (SQA) order temporarily stopping the Department of National Defense and Armed Forces of the Philippines from preparing for the interment remains of the late dictator President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani,” reports Tetch Torres-Tupas on Inquirer.net.

This time, the extension lasts up to Nov 8.

The report noted: “The first SQA was issued last Aug 23 effective for 20 days, or until Sep 12. At the conclusion of the oral arguments last Sep 7, the High Court extended the SQA to Oct 18.”

Meanwhile, six petitions have been filed with the high tribunal opposing the burial of Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. These petitions point out that Marcos’ Word War II exploits and awards were faked.
