As expected, Philippine bet Nicole Cordoves was a standout during the preliminary competition of the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant, held in Las Vegas, Nevada in the US on Mon, Oct 24 (Oct 25, Philippine time).

All 75 candidates of the Miss Grand International pageant walked the runway in their evening gown and swimwear during the prelim show.

The 24-year-old beauty queen from Manila hopes to the country’s first Miss Grand International titleholder. Last year, Philippine bet Parul Shah was named second runner-up.
“I’m expecting I’ll have a lot of fun and gain new friends from different culture,” Nicole told members of the press before leaving for Las Vegas. “I’m really excited to talk to them, just to have a great time.”
“And I’m expecting to bring home the first Miss Grand International crown.”

Nicole said the pageant being held in Las Vegas is an advantage for her. ““I think every girl here will bring on their best game and enjoy the ride. I’m so excited already because it’s Las Vegas. The adrenaline and excitement of Filipinos there is different.”
It’s in Las Vegas where Pia Wurtzbach won the Miss Universe title last year, so maybe Nicole could be lucky too!
