Christmas feels: LRT-1 decorates train to spread the holiday cheer

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, even for commuters who usually complain about our crowded trains.

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), operator of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) system, decorated one of its trains to help spread  the good cheer this holiday season.

On the outside, the train looks ordinary, but the inside has been thoughtfully adorned with familiar Christmas decorations that are often seen inside a Filipino home.

The train, which runs from Roosevelt to Baclaran was decorated with boughs of holly, Christmas lanterns, Christmas balls and candy cane poles. There was also a photo of the nativity scene.

Passengers took to social media to express their appreciation for the simple gesture. It’s refreshing to see words of appreciation instead of complaints.

We heard that Christmas tunes are also playing in the train stations. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, indeed!
