Security agencies fined over SM Megamall robbery

The Philippine National Police Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (PNP-SOSIA) has penalized two of the four security agencies securing SM Megamall for failing to submit incident reports.

Chief Supt. Tomas Rentoy III Star Force and Link Security Agencies were fined P20,000, respectively.

The two others were given until today to submit their reports. If they fail to do so, they will also be meted the same fines. Besides possible suspension of their licenses, authorities are also looking at the lapses of the security guards assigned at SM Megamall during the robbery.

Some 200 pieces of jewelry were reported missing, the Journal reported.
