Lolong, the beloved (and feared) Pinoy crocodile has been declared dead. The saltwater croc, a well known resident of an eco-tourism park here in the Philippines, was declared the largest captive crocodile by none other than the Guinness Book of World Records.
Lolong was brought to justice in September 2011 after an extensive hunt for the fabled beast. He is reportedly responsible for the death of at least one human being. According to a report from the BBC, Lolong measured in at 21 feet and weighted over 1,000kg.
There is still hope that his body can be preserved for future park visitors to gaze upon…..in terror.
