Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza both turned emotional as they celebrated the fifth monthsary of AlDub.
Eat Bulaga! celebrated the occassion at the Broadway studios in Quezon City, where Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards reminisced their short non-relationship.
But Alden went a step beyond July 16, the unofficial day when the AlDub love team was born. He reminded Maine of her auditions back in June. It was at this point that Maine turned emotional. From the audience, where Alden was seated, he went up to her on stage and hugged her.
Maine thanked Alden and told him “iche-cherish ko siya buong buhay ko, kahit anong mangyari.”
Alden in turn thanked Maine for coming into his life. “Kasi sobrang laking blessing. Naging blessing ka sa akin at sa maraming tao,” he said.
Not forgetting their fans, Eat Bulaga! gave a few of them the opportunity to participate in the occassion. Where others asked questions and requested songs, a pretty sharp AlDub follower asked the two to recreate what they feel was the sweetest Dubsmash video they’ve done so far. Watch it below:
