Never underestimate the power of “deadma”…because Senator Juan Ponce Enrile certainly hasn’t.
People were surprised by his wife Cristina’s interview in Winnie Monsod’s TV show, Bawal ang Pasaway. In the episode which aired on Monday night (Mar 3) on GMA News TV, Enrile’s wife revealed that she knew about her husband’s affair with his chief-of-staff, Atty. Gigi Reyes.

Mrs. Enrile, who’s been married to the senator for over 50 years, said, “He has had many girls before Gigi but they did not last too long. Many girls. With Gigi, it lasted long.”
So, what was the veteran senator’s response?
“First off, Enrile said that he did not know beforehand that his wife would be granting an interview,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
When pressed for comment about his wife’s revelations, Enrile quipped, “Suspicions of a wife, suspicions.”
