5 more cops in ‘viral photo’ case surrender

They give police officers a bad name.

“Five more policemen linked to the robbery and abduction on Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) ‎have surrendered to the Que‎zon City Police District (QCPD), but all denied their involvement in the incident,” reports Julliane Love De Jesus on Inquirer.net.

The report noted: “SPO1 Ramil Hachero, the man wearing a green shirt in the viral photo, came to the QCPD on Wednesday, September 10.”

Then, on Thursday, September 11, PO1 Mark de Paz, PO2 Ebonn Decatoria, PO2 Jerome Datinguinoo, and PO2 Weavin Masa turned themselves in to the QCPD.

On Monday, September 8, police arrested Chief Inspector Joseph de Vera and PO2 Jonathan Rodriguez.

Also, earlier on Wednesday, Caloocan City policeman Senior Inspector Allan Emlano surrendered to the authorities.

Except for Emlano, all the other policemen involved in the case were assigned to La Loma Police Station in Quezon City.

Only Senior Inspector Oliver Villanueva, dismissed Insp. Marco Polo Estrera, and two other still-unidentified suspects remain at large.
