VP Binay tells Pacman to run for senator

Is Vice President Jejomar Binay mentoring boxing champion and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao?

“During a dialogue on the government’s housing program in General Santos City, Binay urged boxing champion and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao to run for senator in 2016,” reports Jose Rodel Clapano in The Philippine Star.

Binay told the audience: “Let us help each other to convince Congressman Manny Pacquiao to share his experience in being poor, and the help he is extending to the poor to be continued. I hope he will run for senator.”

Naturally, Binay confirmed that “Pacquiao is among the possible senatorial candidates of the United Nationalist Alliance.”

The report noted: “Binay, who has announced he would run for president, said he has not yet decided on a running mate.”
