6 ways to get the most of your Wanderland experience

Wanderland 2015 is happening on April 25 at the Globe Circuit Event in Makati. That’s next Saturday already — just a week away!

With 11 artists on the line-up and a tonload of attractions, things are sure to get crazy confusing.

So allow us to offer you this 6-point festival hack. Because we know you’ll want to get the most of your Wanderland experience. We know we do.

1. Pack light and move as a unit. It’s in an open ground with a, ehem, Camp Rock theme so it’s more than inviting to bring your bike, or your kite, or even a foldable chair. Please, don’t. That’s excess baggage. You’re courting a major headache plus a few enemies. Go there with as little as possible and crowdshare your resources with your friends, instead. Have someone bring the sunblock, another a mat. Get your group’s math wizard to hold the money, move as a unit. This way, there’s less for all of you think about, and more fun to be had.

2. Avail of all those highschool fair-like attractions. Wanderland should remind you of those cute high school fairs — there are games here like Archery, Sling shot, silly ducky to name a few. Play them, why don’t you?

3. Check out the live art. Artists June Digan, Tokwa Penaflorida, and Kris Abrigo will be doing live art on festival grounds so feel free to get out of the pit, wander around the open air space, and cool off watching these guys work their magic.

4. Go people-watching. While it’s super tempting to get a tonload of action during the fest, we suggest, you find a spot to sit down and just do nothing. Watch people, check out their OOTDs, see what kids are up to these day, and you’ll probably see your favorite band hanging and loitering around the area, too.

5. Reserve your energy. According to the schedule that Wanderland released on social media, headliner Kid Cudi will take the stage at 11pm. While it is tempting to be there as soon as the gates open, remember that’s about 12 hours of summer heat you’ll be contending with. Consider reserving your energy for Kid Cudi’s hour-and-a-half long set. This is his only gig in Asia, mind. Check out the entire schedule:

6. Ride the Bandwagon bus. Bandwagon is a new live gig listing website that hit Metro Manila in March. To launch it, Bandwagon has partnered with Wanderland by offering the Bandwagon Bus to the festival. It’s like a party bus, so your music experience begins before and after the actual fest. Avail of the bus for PHP7,400 and you get a tour of music spots in the city, transportation to the festival (yes, no parking!), entrance to the festival, and an afterparty, too!
